Notes about Payment Arrangement

To protect your interest, please avoid passing cash or transferring funds (e.g. via bank transfer, PPS, billing payment, etc) to your licensed insurance intermediary when making your payments. The following are important notes about payment arrangement for your reference: 

1. Only the premium or other policy fees paid by policyowner, assignee, insured or beneficiary will be accepted.

2. Third party payment is not allowed unless the payor is a member of designated group of third party (i.e. spouse / child / parent / sibling / grandparent and grandchild of the proposer / policyowner), and the payment must be submitted together with a “Premium Payment Declaration Form” duly signed and filled by the policyowner and the payor. The Company reserves the right to obtain proof of payment and / or identity / relationship proof.  

3. If the payment is not made by policyowner and the payment amount is HKD 50,000 / USD 6,250 (or in equivalent currency) or above, please submit a copy of payor’s identity document.

4. If the payment amount paid by beneficiary or designated group of third party payor is HKD 500,000 / USD 62,500 (or in equivalent currency) or above, please submit a copy of relationship proof such as marriage certificate / birth certificate / household register between the beneficiary / designated group of third payor and the policyowner.

5. For payment of an individual policy arranged by a company local cheque / local cashier order / bank account transfer or telegraphic transfer payment / chats payment which is remitted from a company account, the company must be solely owned by the proposer / policyowner or insured. Together with the payment, policyowner should provide:

  1. a copy of Business Registration Certificate or Certificate of Incorporation; and
  2. a copy of latest Annual Return.

6. If the company is not solely owned by the policyowner / insured, the policyowner should also provide:

  1. Memorandum and Articles of Association;
  2. Resolution of the Board of Directors on the payment;
  3. Specimens of directors' signatures;
  4. Director’s declaration on the company's ownership chart to indicate the identities of ultimate shareholders together with shareholder's company name and place of incorporation(if any shareholder is a legal entity);
  5. Identity information of all shareholders having the right to exercise or controlling the exercise of more than 25% of the company's voting rights (or owning more than 25% of the company’s share capital including (a) name; (b) date of birth; (c) nationality; (d) type of identity document; (e) place of issuing identity document; and (f) identity document number);
  6. Copies of all directors' identity documents; and
  7. Proof of residential address of all shareholders having the right to exercise or controlling the exercise of 25% or more than 25% of the company's voting rights or owning more than 25% of the company’s share capital. (Note: If the company is a foreign-registered company, all the said documents should be certified by a lawyer or a certified public accountant.)

7. Only payment made in HKD or policy currency will be accepted. For USD and CNY policies, the premium payment should be settled in HKD / USD or HKD / CNY respectively, subject to the exchange rate prevailing on the date of deposit announced by the Tahoe Life. Details please refer to our company website  www.tahoelife.com.hk/tl/en/customer_supports/exchange_rates. For HKD policy, the premium should be settled by cash or cheque in HKD only.

8. We reserve the right to request the policyowner / assignee to provide proof for source of fund / source of wealth.

Payment Methods

Kindly arrange the payment to us directly using one of the methods listed below:

BY AUTOPAY

By completing and returning the “Direct Debit Authorisation Form”, the renewal premium and levy will be debited from your designated Hong Kong bank account. If you have any enquiries or would like to obtain the form, please visit any branch of Dah Sing Bank#, or contact your licensed insurance intermediary. You can download the form from our company website at  www.tahoelife.com.hk. Kindly check payment records from your bank statement or bankbook as no official receipt will be issued.

#Only applicable to the policies of Dah Sing Bank’s customers. For other customers, please contact your licensed insurance intermediary or our Customer Service Hotline.

 

BY CHEQUE

The cheque should be crossed and made payable to “Tahoe Life Insurance Company Limited” and mailed with the premium notice to our office (Policy Administration Department, 19/F, 1111 King’s Road, Taikoo Shing, Hong Kong). Please write down the policy number and name of policyowner on the back page of the cheque. Post-dated cheque will not accepted.

 

PAY AT DAH SING BANK, LIMITED “DSB”

You can make payments for premium, levy or other policy fees in person by cash1, local cheque2/ local cashier order / bank draft3 or bank account transfer at any DSB branch with the premium notice. If it is a third party payment (i.e. the payor / purchaser is NOT policyowner / assignee / insured / beneficiary), please provide the “Premium Payment Declaration Form” duly signed and filled by the policyowner and the payer at the same time. (For branch locations, please call (852) 2828 8000 or visit DSB website at www.dahsing.com.)

Remarks:

  1. Bank’s staff shall verify depositor’s identity document. Maximum cash payment is HKD120,000 (or in equivalent currency) per transaction.
  2. Only crossed cheque made payable to “Tahoe Life Insurance Company Limited” will be accepted.
  3. If the payment is settled by local cashier order / bank draft, relevant supporting documents for the source of funds must be provided (e.g. bank receipt or bank endorsement on the back of the cashier order / bank draft showing the name of the purchaser of the cashier order / bank draft to confirm that the cashier order / bank draft was issued via the bank account of the policyowner / assignee / insured / beneficiary.

 

The following payment methods are only applicable for the policy number with 10-digit numeric policy number and the policyowner holding a DSB account. There are not applicable to the policy number starting with 888 or 988 and not applicable for paying  lump sum investment / unscheduled contribution. It takes at least three working days to process using this payment method.

 

DSB PHONE BANKING

You can make payments for premium, levy or other policy fees by calling the DSB Phone Banking Service at (852) 2828 8168 for registration. Please refer to the following instructions:

By using your FlexiMoney Card of Dah Sing Bank, you can settle payments for premium, levy or other policy fees through Dah Sing Bank / “Jetco” ATM. Please refer to the following instructions:

FASTER PAYMENT SYSTEM (FPS)

You can make payments for renewal premium and levy by scanning the FPS QR code on premium notice by the scanner built-in in the FPS mobile application. As every FPS QR code is unique by linking up to individual policy number, please input amount in HKD for premium payment. For details of exchange rate, please refer to our company website  www.tahoelife.com.hk/tl/en/customer_supports/exchange_rates or contact our Customer Service Hotline.

  • FPS transaction amount of each Internet Banking Account is subject to a daily limit.  The daily transaction limit may be different for different accounts or depending on their set up.

JETCO ATM

By using any one Hong Kong JETCO ATM card, you can use the function “Bill Payment” to settle premium, levy or other policy fees at any one Hong Kong JETCO ATM. Please refer to the following instructions:
